Floris has just moved from the city to a small village. He feels lonely and gets involved with a gang of youths. One day, he is caught when he tries to break into a car. Floris is sentenced to 80 hours of community work. He has to work with the environment service of the village, which is responsible for cleaning the nearby forest. Floris spends a lot of time in the forest and comes to terms with himself. He begins to love the forest and changes his name into Bioboy. When the forest has to make way for a new industrial zone, Bioboy sees it as his duty to save it.
